A midsummer walk through a productive urban garden

Productive Urban Greenhouse and Garden

Take a midsummer walk through a productive urban garden in this video. On our blog, we share many how-tos about growing food in small spaces. In the video, you can see how everything works together in a cottage garden style, where vegetables, herbs, flowers, bushes, and trees thrive side by side.

The geodesic dome greenhouse was self-built, and here is a blog article about how we built it. This is our second geodesic dome. We find that this pipe version offers the advantage of easy repair.

The Tower Garden greenhouse is excellent for growing peppers. Here is a review of the Tower Garden.

The low raised garden beds are our favorites. With hoop for frost protection or hail protection netting, they work great in our challenging climate.

We grow many edible berries and fruits, despite being in plant hardiness zone 3. Follow the links provided to read more about the varieties and care tips.

Numerous perennial flowers, and often self-seeded annuals, add color and beauty to the garden. Pollinators and beneficial insects love them as well. Herbs and flowers are a must-have in a permaculture garden.

We hope you enjoy the video and look forward to hearing how your garden is growing.
